30/10/11 w/ Das Moth

Timothy Sullivan has a long history of playing in Adelaide and Melbourne punk bands before embracing electronic music as Das Moth, teaching himself Japanese on Nintendo Wii and uprooting to Tokyo two years ago. Quickly landing on his feet, he became a regular fixture on the DJ circuit coming into contact with some epic DJs including Kenji Takimi of Crue-L, the country’s most prolific, versatile and influential dance record label. Earlier this year the two collaborated on a hectic remix of Cut Copy’s Blink which was the first we’d heard from him since the band issued his Moon 12″ on their Cutters imprint. While back in OZ Das Moth plans to record a mini album set for a mid-2012 release. He’s also been working on the ongoing Tokio Disko Mix series that you can follow here.
